Overview
Under the Hope Valley Wattleup Redevelopment Project Master Plan (the Master Plan), DevelopmentWA is responsible for planning and redevelopment within the redevelopment area - also known as Latitude 32 Industry Zone.
Structure Plan: Development Areas 4 and 5
Following completion of the port-related investigations and subsequent review of the design and alignment of the future Rowley Road connection to Rockingham Road, DevelopmentWA is preparing a Structure Plan to guide industrial redevelopment over Development Areas 4 and 5 (DA4 and DA5) of Latitude 32.
The Structure Plan will be advertised by DevelopmentWA in early 2026 over a 60-day public comment period, concurrently with proposed Amendment 16 to the Master Plan, to include relevant enabling and operating provisions.
The previous Structure Plan for Development Area 4, that was prepared and submitted to the Western Australian Planning Commission for final approval in 2016, now requires modification to reflect the revised design of Rowley Road and other related changes to integrate with Development Area 5 to the west.
The preparation of a single Structure Plan over both development areas represents good planning practice and will address earthworks levels planning, road design and servicing more efficiently by streamlining the planning process.
Draft Concept Plan and draft Earthworks Levels Plan
Prior to the formal advertising of the Structure Plan for DA4 and DA5, to build awareness, we would like to provide landowners with the draft Concept Plan and draft Earthworks Levels Plan, which will form part of the Structure Plan. Please note that the plans are in draft form and are subject to change. They are not for public distribution. You may access the plans via the hyperlinks above or in the Document Library on the right-hand panel.
