Overview

The objectives of the Expressions of Interest (EOI) process are as follows:

  • Encourage Creativity: We aim to foster innovation and support new and exciting ideas that contribute to the vibrancy of DevelopmentWA precincts.
  • Enhance Community Engagement: Submissions should focus on enriching visitor experiences and connecting communities through diverse and inclusive programming.
  • Support Economic and Cultural Growth: Proposals should contribute to cultural enrichment, local business engagement, and/or broader economic benefits.

Further information on the EOI process is detailed below, along with an online submission form where you can register your business/organisation details and submit supporting documentation.

Submissions will be reviewed and added to a register for future consideration as opportunities arise.

Interested parties can propose ideas in one or more of the following categories:

  • Events: Live music/concerts, celebrations, festivals, or niche activities (e.g. roller-skating, outdoor cinemas).
  • Activations: Workshops, performances, markets, or interactive experiences (e.g. pop-ups).
  • Arts: Installations, sculptures, or other visual art projects (e.g. projections, interactive art installations).
  • Experiences: Unique attractions such as cultural tours or iconic installations.

The following criteria will apply when DevelopmentWA is evaluating expressions of interest.

  • Organisations, businesses or individuals must:
    • Be a legally constituted entity or individual with an ABN.
    • Hold a Public Liability Insurance – Certificate of Currency valued at least $20million.
    • Provide a capability statement.
    • Provide contact details for two separate references.
    • Demonstrate, when required, the ability to comply with current Work, Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.
  • Applicants must be available to attending meetings, site visits and deliver events in person.

Submissions that highlight and celebrate Aboriginal culture and heritage are highly encouraged.

Specifically, submissions which can demonstrate that they are:

· Made on behalf of a fully or partly Aboriginal-owned business, and

· Provide a meaningful Aboriginal cultural experience for visitors.
